Dr Daryl Holmes OBE is a pioneering Australian entrepreneur, qualified dentist, and passionate philanthropist whose life work reflects a calling far beyond business. After graduating from the University of Queensland in 1987, he served as a Dental Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force before launching his private practice in North Queensland. In 2005, he founded 1300SMILES, Australia’s first ASX-listed dental group, transforming the dental industry through innovation, service excellence, and accessible care. He led 1300 SMILES through a A$165 million in enterprise value sale to Abano Healthcare Group in late 2021.​Dr Daryl says, “But it is not the dollars that define success, Getting to a point where you can balance your life and having the opportunity to give back that's what I see as success”“You can get everything you want in life, if you just help others get what they want.''Caring for people's pearly whites has created worldly riches, but the real reward is at the pearly gates to Heaven for Dr Holmes, whose approach to life is founded on a strong Christian faith.
